Its been 4 months since I moved to the country of kangaroos. How was it? Well, very different from where I come from. I did face a couple of racist folks but at the same time I met hundreds of friendly, sophisticated people. I learnt one thing, forget the dreadful moments and remember those that brought a smile to your face.

It was also warming to see so many "desi" families and students aboard. Its nice to seek help from people similar to us. Oh well, I am contented.

I have yet a lot to learn and it would take me more time to settle down. Overall, Australia is a lovely place especially for those who are looking for a new lifestyle.

Remember, look at the beauties of Australia and not at its disadvantages. Enjoy your stay!

My decision to move to Melbourne was a huge one. Away from my family and an ocean full of friends, I find this place lonely and cold. The weather, the people and culture are all so very different from my hometown, Singapore.

Its like a new challenge. I realised that sometimes one is able to find a new personality within as he/she goes away from home. Its the tough times that shows you how strong you are, the maturity of your thoughts and the ability to withstand your fears.
